Peri Gilpin returns to Frasier

Her character Roz Doyle will be a regular in series 2 of the revamped comedy

Frasier star Peri Gilpin is returning to the revamped series.

Her character of Roz Doyle – the producer of the titular psychiatrist’s radio show in Seattle – will be a series regular in the second season of the revived sitcom.

It comes after she made a guest appearance in the last series, now set in Boston with Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) trying to reconnect with his son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott).

The series also features Only Fools And Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst as Alan, Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor.

Production has just begun on the second series, which will be available on the Paramount+ streaming service in the US and the UK.

The comedy also stars Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro as Eve, Frasier and Freddy’s neighbour; and Anders Keith as David, Frasier’s nephew.
