Comedy writers 'in conversation' gigs

Comedy writers Ian La Frenais and Dick Clement have announced two ‘in conversation with…’ shows for next year.

The duo wrote Porridge, Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Lovejoy, and the film The Commitments, among many more.

During the events they will answer questions submitted by fans and read extracts from their recent memoir, More Than Likely, as well as share videos of their work.

They will be at London’s Cadogan Hall on September 18 and  Newcastle Tyne Theatre on September 23 and  tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday.

Nor are they the only comedy writing partnership doing live shows next year. Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran – who created Shine On Harvey Moon, The New Statesman, Goodnight Sweetheart, and Birds of a Feather – have a series of dates scheduled,
