
Who's up for Broadcast Digital Awards 2021?
Nominees revealed
Brassic, Famalam, Meet the Richardsons, Scot Squad, The Emily Atack Show and The Young Offenders are up for best comedy in the Broadcast Digital awards.
And nominated for best entertainment programme are Dating No Filter, Don’t Hate the Playaz, Life & Rhymes, Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable, Rob & Romesh Vs… and the Rap Game.
The winners will be named by TV industry magazine Broadcast at a ceremony on October 6.
Aimed at shows away from terrestrial channels, the categories this year includes special awards for shows made under lockdown.
The shortlist for the comedy, entertainment and scripted categories are A League of their Own, Don’t Hate the Playaz, How’s Your Head, Hun? InterConnected: Salvation Calling, Lockdown Juice, and There’s Something About Movies.
The award for the best short-form comedy includes Pls Like, starring Liam Willaims, Pru, BBC Three’s sitcom pilot set in a pupil referral unit, and The B@it series of spoof sketches made for Channel 4’s social media.
The shortlist in this category is rounded out by CripTales New Creatives: Aisle 17 and Sparklers, all made for BBC digital channels.
