Borat Subsequent Moviefilm up for other categories too

MTV is to crown Sacha Baron Cohen a ‘comedic genius’ at its TV and movie awards.

The Brit will be the fourth recipient of the accolade following Melissa McCarthy, Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell.

His Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is nominated for best movie at the same ceremony, on May 16, while he and co-star Maria Bakalova are up for best duo.

Baron Cohen also has a nomination for best performance in a movie for his dramatic role as Abbie Hoffman in The Trial of the Chicago 7

The Borat sequel previously won the Golden Globe for best motion picture (musical or comedy) with Baron Cohen scooping  best actor in the same category.
