Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard comedy back next month

Sky has announced that its parenting comedy Breeders will return on May 27.

All ten episodes of the second series, starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard will be available on demand via streaming service Now on the same day.

Haggard was this week nominated for a Bafta for her role in the comedy

The new series is set several years ahead of the last with the couple’s son Luke (Alex Eastwood) now 13 years old and daughter Ava (Eve Prenelle)  now 10.

Joanna Bacon, Alun Armstrong and Stella Gonet also return as the children's grandparents.

Earlier this week, writer Simon Blackwell revealed that work had started on the scripts for a third series, even though it has not yet been commissioned.

Season two  started last month on the FX channel in America.
