Showstoppers to stage another online parody song contest

Award-winning improvisers The Showstoppers are presenting another Alternative Eurovision Song Contest, with Tom Allen returning as host.

The event will also feature celebrity guest stars including Les Dennis, Russell Kane, London Hughes and   Mike McShane.

Showstoppers, who won an Olivier Award for the West End run of their show in which they improvised a full-on musical each night, first ran their  Alternative  Eurovision as a lockdown gig last year.

It raised £7,000 for The Care Workers’  Charity, which will again benefit from this year’s event, to take place on Facebook on Saturday May 15. Pippa Evans and Andrew Pugsley will present the show, and you’ll need to make a donation to vote for your favourite spoof entry.
