Union Jack confirms its Leicester Comedy Festival coverage

Shows start this week

Radio station Union Jack has confirmed its coverage of the Leicester Comedy Festival, which kicks off this Wednesday.

The digital broadcaster’s breakfast show will  be coming live from the city from Wednesday to Friday this week, while it will also broadcast:

  • The UK Pun Championships, Monday February 10, 7pm-10pm: with Lucy Leeds, and 2018 winner Rob Thomas
  • Circuit Breakers, Saturday February 15, 8.30pm-10pm: Mark Dolan (pictured) introduces up-and-coming talent. 
  • Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Competition, Saturday February 22, 7.30pm- 10pm, with the broadcast presented by Geoff Lloyd and Tom Rosenthal
  • Lucy Leeds Loose in Leicester, Wednesday 5 to Friday 7 February, 6pm-7pm:  The presenter Lucy Leeds tries to get to grips with the festival with her co-host, comedian Alex Hylton.

Union Jack is  a sponsor of the festival and recently appointed its founder, Geoff Rowe as its first director of comedy.
