Australian TV elite hail Hannah Gadsby's special

Hannah Gadsby’s Netflix special Nanette is up for another award.

The emotional show has been nominated for best comedy in the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts Awards – the antipodean version of the Baftas.

Her performance is up against local sitcoms Black Comedy,  The Letdown and Rosehaven, which stars comics Celia Pacquola and Luke McGregor, alongside True Story With Hamish & Andy, in which actors recreate real-life anecdotes told by everyday Australians.

Up for best entertainment programme are Gogglebox Australia,  Hard Quiz hosted by stand-up Tom Gleeson, Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery, Little Big Shots and satirical show The Weekly With Charlie Pickering.

Winners will be announced on December 5 in Sydney.
