Sam Simmons creates an alternative Christmas show

Month-long run at Soho Theatre this December

Sam Simmons is returning to London this December with an  alternative Christmas show.

Away In A Stranger, which has a four-week run at the Soho Theatre, will be the absurdist Australian’s first UK dates since the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe.

The show revolves around the miracle birth of the baby Greg, with the blurb for the show saying: ‘Wrap a biro in sausage meat and sit around the open pug while we all raise a warm mug of yoghurt to Greg. Oh, and don’t forget to give a hot boiled egg to the bus driver and pop a radish up your arse on Gregmas Eve.’

Simmons’s TV credits include BBC One’s Live At The Apollo, Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and providing  the voice of Mr Wallaby in Peppa Pig.

Away In A Stranger is at Soho Theatre from December 10 to January 5.
