Avalon's live boss moves to UTA

Global entertainment company United Talent Agency has appointed a new comedy touring agent to its London office

Bjorn Wentlandt, who starts this week, will work with the agency’s roster of acts which include Impractical Jokers, Jeff Dunham, Flight Of The Conchords, Jim Jefferies, Sarah Silverman and Jim Gaffigan.

He has spent the last seven years at Avalon, where he ran the group’s live division. There  he helped stage shows including  Russell Howard’s international Round The World tour which set a record for the longest run of a solo artist at the Royal Albert Hall.

UTA's  head of comedy touring, Nick Nuciforo praised Wentlandt’s  ‘extensive knowledge of the global comedy marketplace’ and ‘the great relationships he has built over the years.’

Before Avalon, Wentlandt was a manager at MacDonald-Murray Management where he looked after the careers of clients such as  Ron White and Jim Gaffigan.
