As does The Fast Show's Charlie Higson and more
Saturday Night Live UK’s Freddie Meredith has been cast in the Christmas special of Death In Paradise.
The news comes just two days after the BBC also announced that the comedian would be appearing in the next series of Mike Bubbins sitcom Mammoth as a talent agent.
Edinburgh Comedy Award best newcomer nominee Meredith will play a character called Arthur Pendleford in the hit murder-mystery, which is filmed on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe.
The plot of the Christmas episode revolves around the death of the patriarch of one of the famous Pendleford family, putting the whole dynasty under suspicion
Other guest stars in the episode include The Fast Show’s Charlie Higson as Gabriel Pendleford; Doc Martin’s Caroline Catz as Bridget Pendleford; and Shaun Dooley, who plays Alan Carr’s dad Graham in Chaining Ends, as Jacob Pendleford.
The Death In Paradise Christmas special will be available on iPlayer from Friday November 27, with the episode airing on BBC One over the festive season.
Earlier this week, it was announced that comedians Johnny Vegas and Paul Chowdhry have joined the Christmas special of the spin-off series, Beyond Paradise, also dropping on iPlayer on November 27.
