LONDON: A strong line-up of Maisie Adam, Horatio Gould, Phil Wang, Ahir Shah, Sally Phillips and Alexandra Haddow gather at the Leicester Square Theatre for Stand Up For Up Sudan, in support of the charity War Child. The night is the brainchild of comedy agent Yusef Osman, who is of Sudanese heritage, and who decided to act after he heard first-hand what his family had been through after the war had broken out.

LONDON: Jack Dee and some unnamed friends take over the London Palladium stage to raise money for St Christopher's Hospice and The North London Hospice in memory of Jeremy Hardy and Sean Lock. Surprisingly, some grand circle tickets are still available from the theatre website.

ABERDEEN: The city's comedy festival returns, running over the next three weekends and featuring the likes of Russell Howard, Susan Calman, and Maisie Adam. Website

DURHAM: In their new show, With Feeling, deadpan musical siblings Flo & Joan use the setlist from a 'real' band setlist to write their own show. The tour starts at the Gala Theatre tonight and runs til mid-December. Flo & Joan tour dates

MELKSHAM: King George V Park hosts two days of comedy as part of the Wiltshire town's Sham Jam Festival.  Today's bill, starting at 4pm, includes Angelos Epithemiou, Lloyd Griffith, Phil Ellis and more, while tomorrow's, from 2pm, includes Matt Richardson, Crissy Rock and Mark Watson. Tickets.

HOYLAKE: Rowland Rivron – the presenter and comedian known for his appearance on the likes of The Young Ones and French And Saunders – is doing an intimate 'audience with' at Mr Smith's Parlour, sharing showbiz anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories.

LONDON: A fab night at The Bedford in Balham, now run by Always Be Comedy following the closure of Banana Cabaret, includes Bridget Christie, Felicity Ward and Michael Odewale.
