Dad's House set in suburban Australia
Felicity Ward is lending her voice to a new animated comedy series heading for Netflix.
Dad’s House is set in suburban Australia, where Sean, a 13-year-old child of divorce, spends every second weekend with his laidback dad, Ian.
‘Cramming quality dad-time into a single weekend is already a tall order, but Ian has a remarkable gift for making it so much harder than it needs to be,’ the logline says.
The series comes from longtime collaborators Dario Russo and David Ashby along with Michael Cusack, who will all be showrunners as well as starring in the comedy.

In 2024, Ward took the lead in the Australian remake of The Office, having previously had a major role in the 2021 Australian psychological drama Wakefield.
Now mostly based in London, she has made appearances in a number of comedy programmes, including Gameface and The Mind of Herbert Clunkerdunk – but this is her first animation.
Dad’s House joins a growing slate of forthcoming adult animated comedies for Netflix, including Ricky Gervais’s Alley Cats. But it is not yet known when Dad’s House will launch.
