Lindsey Santoro gets her own Radio 4 series
The best of the week's comedy on TV, radio and streaming
Our pick of the comedy on TV, radio and streaming this week…:
Monday July 7
I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T A CLUE: Returns for its 83rd(!) series with Gary Delaney making his first appearance on the show. Tony Hawks, Pippa Evans and Rory Bremner are the other comics being given silly things to do by Jack Dee. BBC Radio 4, 6.30pm
Wednesday July 9
THE LIVELY LIFE OF Lindsey Santoro: A new stand-up series based on the diary of the 37-year-old working-class, no-nonsense Brummy comedian still keeps. This, the first of four episodes, is entitled Winch Me up Like a Bag of Flour. BBC Radio 4, 11pm
INSIDE No9: The marvellous, self-referential and poignant final episode of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith's splendid anthology gets another airing. BBC Two, 10pm
THE RUNAWAY BUS: Frankie Howerd made his big-screen debut alongside Margaret Rutherford and Petula Clark in this 1954 comedy film about a bus caught in fog (thus saving on the costs of scenery!) while a gang of crooks tries to carry off a heist. Talking Pictures TV, 12.15pm
Thursday July 10
TOO MUCH: The new rom-com from Lena Dunham drops on Netflix. Comedian Megan Stalter stars as Jessica, the fictionalised version of the Girls creator moving to London when her New York life implodes, with The White Lotus star Will Sharpe playing her love interest Felix, loosely based on Stalter's real-life partner, the musician Luis Felber, who co-created this series. The show also stars Emily Ratajkowski, Richard E. Grant, Adwoa Aboah, Leo Reich. Rhea Perlman, Stephen Fry, Andrew Scott and more. Stalter and the stars talk about the show here.
REV: BBC Two pretty much only airs comedy repeats these days, but when it's this acclaimed show about an inner-city vicar played by Tom Hollander, we can't have too many complaints. BBC Two, 10pm
