Comedians confirmed for Celebrity Traitors
Including Lucy Beaumont, Nick Mohammed, Joe Wilkinson and Alan Carr
Lucy Beaumont, Nick Mohammed, Joe Wilkinson, Alan Carr and Stephen Fry have been confirmed as taking part in Celebrity Traitors.
The news will come as no surprise as the line-up has been widely reported – including by Chortle – but the BBC has now officially confirmed they are among the contestants.
They have all been filming in Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands in recent weeks.
Tameka Empson, who starred in the sketch show 3 Non-Blondes before playing Kim Fox in EastEnders, is also taking part, as is Victoria Wood’s regular collaborator Celia Imrie.
The rest of the line-up comprises singers Cat Burns, Charlotte Church and Paloma Faith, broadcasters Clare Balding, Kate Garraway, actors Mark Bonnar and Ruth Codd, historian David Olusoga, former England rugby Player Joe Marler, content creator Niko Omilana and Olympian Tom Daley.
Claudia Winkleman – who returns as host – said: ‘ We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie.’
The celebrities are playing for a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.
