CHORLEY: Scott Bennett tells the story of how his infant daughter fell ill with a rare genetic condition called congenital hyperinsulinism in his new tour, Blood Sugar Baby. But he insists that despite the potentially grim subject matter it's a 'really funny' story with 'a happy and hopeful ending'. He said: 'It's taken over a decade to find the humour in this amazing family story, and to have the courage to tell it. No-one ever talks about what it's like when parenting goes off-piste, when a baby is sick, and I don't mean a ‘syringe of Calpol sick’, I mean seriously ill, with a condition so rare, we didn't even know it existed. It marked the start of an incredible family adventure with an unbelievable outcome.' The show will also become a Radio 4 special down the line. Scott Bennett tour dates

LEEDS: Harry Stachini kicks off his tour of Grenade, how he exploded an eight-year relationship and a mortgage. Harry Stachini tour dates.

SALFORD: In his first live tour for a while, kicking off at the Lowry tonight, Ed Night reluctantly accepts the fact he's become as much 'content creator' as comedian, and hates all that entails… though it does open the gateway to many musings about the lot of Gen Z, coming to the age when they have to grapple with big issues yet ill-equipped to deal with them thanks to the self-centred superficialit of socal media. Ed Night: The Plunge review and tour dates.

HALIFAX: Michael McIntyre is performing a benefit gig for Matthew22 Fund, which raises money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, at the Victoria Theatre. Jack Skipper provides support.
