How much richer is Peter Kay getting?

Tour takes a reported £27m a year, as his company assets rise

His comeback arena tour has reportedly grossed £27million for Peter Kay – though that doesn’t seem to have found its way to the comedian’s bottom line yet.

Newly filed accounts from his personal company shows he added ‘just’ £2million to his personal wealth in the year ending March 2024.

According to the documents lodged at Companies House last week, the value of his company Hussein Traders rose from £9.4million to £11.5million. The firm has £21.5million invested.

The equity in his other company, Good Night Vienna Productions, remained largely static, rising £180,000 to £25.35million.

It comes after he was last month named the 4th highest grossing stand-up of 2024 globally. Analysts Pollstar said he came behind Nat Bargatze’s £56million, Sebastian Maniscalo’s £38million and Jerry Seinfeld’s £31million.

The Better Late Than Never tour, which began in late 2022, will also prove a cash cow for many months yet as it is not scheduled to end until February 2026.

The next highest British name on Pollstar's list was Michael McIntyre, at No15 after taking £10million.

Meanwhile, other new accounts at Companies House show Ricky Gervais added around £4million to his wealth last year. The value of his company, Red Lion 100 Ltd, rose from £14.4million to £18.3million.

The figures again cover the year ending in March – long before his Morality tour kicked off in October – and were also filed last week.

Gervais also has other companies in his name dealing with the production of his Netflix series After Life.
