Presenter adds yet another show to his tally

His ubiquity is a running joke – and now Amol Rajan is to host Have I Got News For You for the first time.

The University Challenge presenter and BBC journalist will be in the chair  on Friday May 24.

Richard Osman, will be one of the panelists, making his 17th appearance on the programme, with the other yet to be announced. 

Meanwhile,  Bill Bailey is to replace the previously confirmed Mel Giedroyc as guest host for this Friday’s episode.

He is joined by journalist Helen Lewis and comedian Daliso Chaponda as well as regulars Paul Merton and Ian Hislop.

Part of the team on Radio 4’s Today programme, Rajan previously hosted the station's Media Show, and has often stood in on The One Show and for both Zoë Ball and Jeremy Vine on their Radio 2 shows. He was previously editor of the Independent,
