Podcasters head to Ibiza to explore ' the boundaries of conventional sex’

Irish comic Joanne McNally and presenter Vogue Williams have hit Ibiza to explore their sexual boundaries in a new E4 show.

The friends already host the hit podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, which attracts millions of listeners and has spawned a hit live show.

Now they have made  a one-off special entitled Joanne & Vogue’s Sex Drive, ‘meeting  people that are pushing the boundaries of conventional sex’. The show is described as ‘an eye-opening and empowering journey, with a goal of exploring their sexuality and understanding how to truly live their best lives’.

Shooting has already finished in Ibiza with McNally – who is best known for her stand-up show The Prosecco Express –  saying: ‘I had an absolute ball in Ibiza and I can’t wait for people to see how liberated I now am and what a frigid Vogue is.’

Williams added: ‘I loved Ibiza, getting spanked by Joanne was certainly a highlight. I feel like we really took our friendship to the next level on this trip.’

Programme makers Rumpus Media insist: ‘This isn't a grubby exploration of pampas grass swingers, but a sex and body positive journey, filtered through the lens of best friends who do not hold back.

‘It's a raucous, real-talk, funny road trip with heart that approaches the world of sex, spirituality, and wellness in an entirely fresh and riotous way. Is the Gwyneth Paltrow approach - wafting around with her washboard stomach, telling us how to steam our nethers, shove a jade egg up "there" and then watch on while a stranger waves the air until they climax - the average British girls experience of a sexy time? Should it be?’

Joanne & Vogue’s Sex Drive will air on E4 on September 21, when it will also be available on  Channel 4’s streaming service

E4’s commissioning editor Genna Gibson said: ‘Lifelong friends Vogue and Joanne are the perfect duo to lead this entertaining exploration of female empowerment and sex positivity. Equipped with their unique sense of humour and their shared natural curiosity for the topic, I’m really looking forward to finding out whether they’ll both be feeling the love by the end…’
