Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan to return
Romesh Ranaganthan is to make five more documentary and travel shows for BBC Two.
His travelogue, The Misadventures of Romesh Ranganathan, will be back for three more instalments as he heads to Central Africa – where the above picture was taken – visiting Uganda, Rwanda and Madagascar.
And after looking into the death of Jimi Hendrix in a one-off last year, the comedian will look at the life and death of hip-hop star Tupac Shakur and murder of Nancy Spungen, girlfriend of punk star Sid Vicious, in two more episodes of The Misinvestigations Of Romesh Ranganathan.
Ranganathan said: "Misadventures and Misinvestigations are both shows I’m incredibly proud of and it’s a delight to be able to do them again. I think they’re really good, but if you disagree don’t tell me"
The shows are being made by Rumpus Media, whose head of factual entertainment, Morgan Roberts, said: ‘Rumpus is delighted to be working on a new series of these epic Misadventures. Romesh isn’t just incredibly talented and clever – he is known as one of nicest people to work with in the industry – a reputation we intend to test to its absolute limit. And possibly beyond.’
Ranganathan has previously visited places including Haiti, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, the Arctic and the Sahara.
He also presents For The Love of Hip Hop at midnight every Friday night on Radio 2.
