Stars announced for alien comedy We Are Not Alone

The ensemble cast has been named for Dave’s new scripted comedy special We Are Not Alone, with a host of familiar comedy names.

Starring in the two-hour special are Declan Baxter, Joe Thomas, Vicki Pepperdine, Georgia May Foote, Amanda Abbington, Mike Wozniak, Evelyn Mok, Bruce Mackinnon, Lucien Laviscount, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond, Dane Baptiste, Rob Delaney, Ellie White and Miles Jupp.

Written by Willbond and his Ghosts co-star and co-creator Laurence Rickard, We Are Not Alone  is set six weeks after aliens have invaded and completely conquered Earth and explores the culture clash between humankind and its new masters.

The relatively unknown Baxter stars as Stewart, the Gu’un’s hapless human liaison who ends up saddled with alien Greggs (Thomas) for a housemate.

Stewart must help the Gu’uns deliver their message to the masses and win favour with humankind, while also aiding the human resistance and managing his enduring crush on Foote’s Elodie.

The roles of the other guest stars have not yet been announced.

The special, made by Big Talk, will air on Dave next year.
