Tory peer joins the show

The line-up has been revealed for this year’s Taskmaster New Year Treat.

As with last year’s special, the one-off shuns comedians for celebrities from the wider public sphere to be put through their paces by Taskmaster Greg Davies and sidekick   Alex Horne.

This year they are: presenters Adrian Chiles, Claudia Winkleman, Paralympian Jonnie Peacock, rapper, Lady Leshurr and former Conservative Cabinet Minister Baroness Sayeeda Warsi.

Channel 4 has not yet confirmed the broadcast date  for the episode, but this teaser has been released on social media:

Last year’s New Year contestants were: John Hannah, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Nicola Coughlan, Rylan Clark-Neal and Shirley Ballas.

Yesterday, the show released ten minutes of outtakes from series 12  featuring Victoria Coren Mitchell, Morgana Robinson, Guz Khan, Desiree Burch and Alan Davies.

Taskmaster returns next year with Ardal O'Hanlon, Judi Love, Chris Ramsey, Bridget Christie and Sophie Duker taking part.
