Call My Agent! was named best comedy at the International Emmys last night.

The fourth and final series of the comedy, known as  Dix Pour Cent in its native France, pipped fellow nominee Motherland to the accoldate.

This year's shortlist has been rounded out by  Vir Das’s Netflix stand-up special For India and Columbian political satire Promesas de Campaña, which translates as Campaign Promises.

The comedy-drama There She Goes, which stars David Tennant and Jessica Hynes and is based on comedy writer Shaun Pye’s experiences with a disabled daughter, had been nominated for best drama but lost out to Israeli show Tehran 

But Tennant was named best actor for his performance in Des, while Hayley Squires scooped best actress for Adult Material.

A British remake of Call My Agent!  is in the pipeline, written by W1A’s John Morton.

The core cast will comprise Lydia Leonard, Jack Davenport, Maggie Steed, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Harry Trevaldwyn and Hiftu Quasem – with other roles for Fola Evans-Akingbola, Rebecca Humphries, Tim McInnerny, Eleanor Arnaud  and Jim Broadbent.
