Last Of The Summer Wine actor Robert Fyfe dies at 90

Known as henpecked Howard Sibshaw

Robert Fyfe, who played Howard Sibshaw in Last of the Summer Wine for 25 years, has died at the age of 90.

His character was introduced to the BBC sitcom in 1985 and remained until its final episode in 2010.

He was the henpecked husband of Pearl (Juliette Kaplan) always trying to hide his affair with Marina (Jean Fergusson)

Fyfe's manager Maxine Hoffman told the BBC the actor was ‘the most delightful client anyone could wish for…  a truly talented and versatile actor and much loved by everyone he worked with’

Born in Kirkcaldy, he appeared in Dr Finlay's Casebook, Coronation Street,  Cloud Atlas and Pride And Prejudice And Zombies.

His wife Diana died a few weeks ago.
