With a load of famous guests

Jon Richardson and Matt Forde are to host a new podcast based on fantasy football.

Each week during the forthcoming Premier League season, the comics – and best friends – will be joined by celebrity obsessives to talk about their team selections.

Those taking part include Rob Beckett, Russell Howard, Romesh Ranganathan, Josh Widdecombe, Maisie Adam and Richard Osmond.

It is based around Fantasy Premier League, which boasts seven million players  worldwide,  making it the biggest fantasy football game in the world.

Forde said: ‘There’s nothing we love more than competing against each other in our own league  - so in order to justify our FPL addiction, we’ve set up a brand new weekly podcast called  Comedians Playing Fantasy Premier League Football.’

‘Each week we’ll follow a group of comedians competing in the world’s most competitive game,’ Richardson added. ‘We’ll look back at the week in football and discuss how events off the pitch how might affect your selections.’

The first episode drops on August 11 to coincide with the start if the new season, but here’s a trailer:
