Comic Tommy to tour as a solo act

Tommy Cannon is to go out on tour as a solo act.

The comic will share stories of his long partnership with Bobby Ball as part of the stand-up tour, entitled Laugh Me A Laugh.

He will also be performing songs and answering questions from the audience during the string of dates this autumn.

Cannon, 85, will be joined by fellow comics Johnnie Casson and Stu Francis for the shows - here is the schedule.

Cannon and Ball shot to fame on the talent show Opportunity Knocks in 1968 and became a TV staple in the 1970s and 1980s.

Ball, real name Robert Harper, died in October at the age of 76 after contracting coronavirus. Plans for a statue in his Lancashire hometown of Lytham St Anne’s were recently revealed.
