More Fringe 2021 shows announced

The Stand confirms a nightly stand-up showcase

Troy Hawke and Geoff Norcott have been added to the  Fringe line-up at the   Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

Meanwhile Henning Wehn, Craig Hill and Daniel Sloss have all added more dates  at the venue.

Ian Coburn from Live Nation, which is programming the Corn Exchange, said: ‘We are delighted to be bringing comedy to the fringe this year in a venue that delivers at least some certainty and its clear from the sales so far that audiences are keen for some shows as well. We expect be announcing some more shows soon.’

Here is the current schedule of Corn Exchange shows.

The news comes after the Fringe Society released a batch of new shows – but as Nicola Sturgeon cast doubt on whether the Scottish government could stick to its planned timetable for scrapping restrictions as Covid infections rise… putting new question marks over the festival.

Among the 60 new shows announced today, The Stand revealed it is to host a 90-minute Best Of Scottish Comedy compilation on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Laughing Horse Free Fringe has unveiled some of its online shows, too, including Tom Mayhew’s From Rags to Slightly Newer Rags, and the line-up showcase Sounds Proper.

The organisation is set to announce the bulk of its live comedy – at the Counting House, The Three Sisters and Hanover Tap – on Monday.  The Gilded Balloon is expected to announce its live programme then, too.

Today’s batch of programmes will be available to book at edfringe.com from 10am.
