Comedians to enter the Bake-Off tent

Celebs announced for next charity series

 Katherine Ryan, Tom Allen, David Baddiel and Reece Shearsmith, Rob Beckett and John Bishop are among the stars taking part in this year’s Great Celebrity Bake Off.

The Channel 4 series, in aid of the  Stand Up To Cancer campaign, returns for five new episodes this spring with 20 famous faces.

It will mark a turning of tables for Allen, who already comments on the culinary talents of others as host of Bake Off: The Professionals and the spin-off series An Extra Slice 

Also entering the Bake Off tent are  actor James McAvoy, actress Daisy Ridley, Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes, documentary maker Stacey Dooley, Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall, internet celebrity KSI,TV presenter and Paralympian Ade Adepitan, author and broadcaster Philippa Perry, broadcaster Nick Grimshaw, singer-songwriter Alexandra Burke, TV personality Anneka Rice, and  musicians Dizzee Rascal, Anne-Marie and  Nadine Coyle.

Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood return as judges while Matt Lucas  hosts, but without Noel Fielding.

Sarah Lazenby, head of formats at Channel 4 said: ‘Bake Off is serving up yet another dollop of fun courtesy of some very willing celebrities. We can't promise a huge helping of baking inspiration, but we can deliver some much-needed laughs.’
