Sweary Boris Johnson song storms the charts

Kunt And The Gang’s attempt to storm the Christmas charts has got off to a flying start, becoming the second highest new entry so far this week.

Recorded under the band name The Kunts, the punk track Boris Johnson Is A Fucking Cunt, is currently at No19 in the charts, just 48 hours after its release.

And it is the third fastest-seller of the week so far.

The Official UK Charts Company releases the Top 100 each Friday afternoon, with Radio 1 airing a first look at the forthcoming week's rundown on Sundays. On yesterday's programme, presenters Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton could only say: 'Now at 19 we've got a track about Boris Johnson that has so many bad words in it we can't play it on daytime Radio 1.'

Kunt’s track is just 56 seconds long, and its entire lyrics comprise a repetition of the title.

According to the frontman, the song was recorded with Carsehole on guitar, Skidmark on bass and Fucksticks on drums, an a band that plans to head out on tour in 2021, if there are any music venues left.

However, when it comes to the charts, he has his work cut out selling LadBaby, the sausage roll-obsessed duo of Mark and Roxanne Hoyle, who have had the last two Christmas No 1s, whose Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ sold 80,000 copies over the weekend.

Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You is the current No1.
