Comic crowned Amused Moose winner


Lew Fitz has won this year's new comic award run by the Amused Moose club.

Kathryn Mather, won the breakthrough award, abd  Bennet Kavanagh, the People's Champion award  triumphed at a socially distanced final in London last night that also featured Andrew Nolan, Jenan Young, Nelson Gombakomba and Runi Talwar.

The competition final normally takes place at the Edinburgh Fringe but was this year staged at the Amused Moose's normal home in the Water Rats pub in King's Cross, Central London.

Manchester-born Fitz started his comedy career while living in Florida in 2014, returning to the UK in 2016.

He has appeared on the BBC New Comedy Award shows and was in Dave's TVs Top 5 Jokes of the Fringe in 2017 with his line: 'I'm looking for the girl next door type. I'm just gonna keep moving house till I find her.'
