But the line-up is under wraps

Taskmaster is to air a one-off Christmas special with a mystery line-up.

Chanel 4 says only that the five competitors come from the worlds of ‘TV, film, radio, journalism, and shiny floor entertainment’ and are experts in their fields.

As always, Greg Davies will judge the ludicrous challenges set by series creator Alex Horne.

The latest series -  featuring Daisy May Cooper, Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson, Mawaan Rizwan and Richard Herring – has attracted a consolidated average audience of three million viewers, making it Channel 4’s biggest new title for young viewers this year.
