Ophelia Lovibond to star in HBO Max comedy

...about a 1970s feminist

W1A's Ophelia Lovibond is to star in a new comedy for America's HBO Max service.

The actress – who also plays Carina in Guardians of the Galaxy – takes the lead role in Minx, about an earnest young feminist in 1970s Los Angeles who creates the first erotic magazine for women.

As well as playing Izzy Gould in W1A, Lovibond plays Binky in Mae Martin’s Channel 4 comedy Feel Good and Erica in Trying, Apple TV's first ever British series.

News of her casting in Minx, which is currently at the pilot stage, was first reported by Deadline.
