Will Celebrity Juice return?
Keith Lemon questions show's future now Holly Willoughby has quit
Keith Lemon has said that the future of Celebrity Juice hangs in the balance now Holly Willoughby has left the show after 12 years.
The comedian – real name Leigh Francis – said he was in ‘a lot of meetings’ with executives about what will happen to the ITV2 panel show, but was hesitant about committing to its return.
‘Everyone keeps asking me who the new captain is but I don't know what the future of Celebrity Juice is at the moment, it's a lot of meetings,’ he told Gaby Roslin on a Hello! magazine Instagram show
The presenter responded: ‘Oh, but it's going to come back, isn't it?’
After a brief pause, Lemon said: ’t’s a lot of meetings. I'm probably supposed to say it's meant to come back, lead with positive words but we've got to get it right, the next phase has to be right I guess.’
The departure of Willoughby, 39, follows the decision of fellow team captain Fearne Cotton to quit just over a year ago. Lemon said they left the show because ‘they have grown up and I didn’t.'
