Sharon Horgan cast in Hollywood romcom

Opposite Vince Vaughn

Sharon Horgan is to star opposite Vince Vaughn in a new Hollywood rom-com.

She will play an antique shop owner – described as ‘spirited’ by trade website Deadline –  who crosses paths with Vaughn’s character clay Mason, a party-loving host of a TV cooking show.

Christopher Storer – who is also working on the US remake of People Just Do Nothing –   directs.

The script is by stand-up Phillip Murphy and his graffiti artist brother Brandon Murphy   with Elizabeth Chomko, who wrote last year’s What They Had.

It a statement to Deadline, the producers said: ‘Clay requires a nuanced performance as he is both incredibly charming and seriously flawed and with Vince’s ability to be exceptionally funny while at the same time highly affecting, he is perfectly cast in the role.

‘We are thrilled to be working with Vince again and can’t wait to see the chemistry he and Sharon will share on screen.’
