Car Share named one the 'must-see' moments of 2018

...and now it's up for a Bafta

The finale of Peter Kay’s Car Share has been nominated as one of the ‘must-see’ TV moments of last year – by Bafta.

The category is the only one voted on by viewers, rather than industry,

Other shortlisted moments are Gail’s monologue on the suicide of Aidan Connor in Coronation Street; the Rosa Parks episode of Doctor Who; Eve stabbing Villanelle in Killing Eve; Julia Montague assassinated in Bodyguard;  and Tom’s transformation in Netflix series Queer Eye.

The other Bafta nominees will be announced on March 28, with the ceremony taking place on May 12 in at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

Car Share previously won two Baftas in 2016, for best scripted comedy and for best male performance in a comedy. Kay’s co-star Sian Gibson was nominated in the female category, but lost out to Chewing Gum’s Michaela Coel
