Tina Fey to star in Sharon Horgan's love story
Tina Fey is to star in a short love story written and directed by Sharon Horgan.
The pair last month filmed an episode of Modern Love, a new romcom anthology series expected to land on Amazon Prime next year.
Based on a popular New York Times column, the eight separate stories will explore love in its various forms, including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self love.
John Slattery, who played Roger Sterling in Mad Men, also appears in the Fey/Slattery episode, which was filmed in New York. Catastrophe star Hogan said in a tweet that the actors were ‘the greatest’.
Other stars in the series include Anne Hathaway, Dev Patel and Andy Garcia, among many more.
Filmmaker John Carney, who is behind Modern Love, told trade website Deadline: ‘It’s like I woke up in the actor candy store. We’ve managed to assemble a dream cast of my favourite actors. It’s a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty.’
