New series of digital shorts launched
Daman Bamrah has launched a new series of digital shorts featuring rising comedians telling their favourite jokes.
He is the first of 12 up-and-coming acts taking part in Comedian Walks Into A Bar, filmed at London’s Hackney Empire.
The others will be Muhsin Yesilada, Blank Peng, Bamph, Sharifa Butterfly, Diesel, Honey B, Nancy MacDonald, Kate Barron, Ibrahim Sesay, Matt Rouse, Roman Harris, Ed Kear and Samira Banks.
Becca Thomason, head of programming at the Hackney Empire, called it 'another exciting step into digital content creation’ adding: We wanted to support these much-loved comedians, and we hope to keep supporting them in their live shows in the future.’
The clips were shot by production studio Lucky 17 and produced by Ray Böhm.
They will be released on the dedicated Instagram channel comedianwalksintoabar as well as that of the Hackney Empire, Lucky 17 and the comedians themselves.
