Chloe Petts to host new penalty-taking challenge

Comedians are to test their penalty-taking skills in a new YouTube series, hosted by Chloe Petts.

Nish Kumar and Harriet Kemsley are among those who have signed up for the show, which will be made by Graham Norton's production company, So Television.

The format is said to have been inspired by SkySports  Soccer AM, where celebrities took penalties as part of the Pro AM segment.

Petts is a huge football fan who contributed regularly to Sky Sports' Good Morning Euros show across the women's 2022 tournament. And she’s no slouch at taking penalties herself, as this shootout with former Crystal Palace midfielder Shauna Guyatt proves.

An insider told The Sun: ‘Chloe Petts is a genuine football fan and brings a wealth of knowledge, as well as humour.

‘This kind of content lends itself brilliantly to a short-form media and so will live online for now.’

Palace fan Petts has previously spoken about the online abuse she received after appearing on Sky Sports, saying: ‘‘I think men – particularly those who watch that channel – are perturbed when you don’t wish to do something for the male gaze. I was a woman existing on a channel where they’re used to their gaze being the priority.’

Soccer AM came to an end in 2023 after an almost 20-year run, with celebrities taking par in the Pro AM challenge including Stormzy, Noel Gallagher and Russell Howard
