Cuckoo clocks in

The week's comedy on demand

The week's best comedy on demand:

Bert Kreischer: Secret Time

You gotta have an angle as a stand-up, and Bert Kreischer's is that performs topless. He was the inspiration for National Lampoon's party animal Van Wilder, and he describes his stand-up as 'getting drunk and telling secrets'. In his new Netflix special, that includes being an irresponsible dad and his sexual misadventures. Watch here.

Jim Norton: Contextually Inadequate

A self-aware alpha-male, Jim Norton's 2016 special arrives on Amazon Prime with the comic addressing the looks of workplace shootings, Bill Cosby, personal privacy, the art of the selfie, and the importance of an open mind. Watch here

Cuckoo

If you've been absorbed in the Edinburgh Fringe, you might have missed the fact that the fourth series of Greg Davies's sitcom landed on iPlayer as a box set earlier this month, with the episodes also getting a boring old terrestrial, linear broadcast late on Monday nights on BBC One. Watch Davies's character Ken contend with his daughter's American boyfriend Dale (Taylor Lautner) here.

Archer

Series nine of the animated spy series about a secret agent who has to work for his mother lands on Netflix – two months after it ended its run on FXX in the States. This season, also known as Archer Danger Island, is set in 1938 and takes place entirely in the imagination of its lead character, who is in a come after being shot at the end of series seven. Watch here.
