Rubberbandit Blindboy gets his own BBC Three show

Exploring the housing crisis

Rubberbandits character Blindboy BoatClub has landed his own satirical undercover programme for BBC Three.

Provisionally titled Blindboy Undestroys The World, the show will mix investigative reporting and absurdism as the anarchic polemist leaves Limerick to research the housing crisis affecting young people.

He explores the ‘socially corrupt practices’ which allow landlords to prey on the vulnerable, developers to manipulate the system and money launderers to invest their money in swanky Mayfair property, as well as examining the Government policy that gave birth to Generation Rent.

BBC Three controller  Damian Kavanagh called Blindboy – real name Dave Chambers – ‘a truly unique voice’ whose show will ‘unpack the housing crisis and its impact on young people’.

The show, which does not yet have an air date, was announced at the Edinburgh TV Festival.
