Amused Moose Comedy Award finalists named

Eight nominees have been named for this year’s Amused Moose Comedy Award.

The shortlist has been drawn up by an industry panel who watched entries online then voted on a long-list live in Edinburgh.

Acts must be performing full shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and cannot have been nominated for any previous major  award 

The finalists are: 

  • Anesti Danelis: Songs For A New World Order
  • Damian Clark: ExtraPlace!
  • Ken Cheng: Best Ever Dad
  • Look, It's Tom Little, Alright?
  • Police Cops in Space
  • Tania Edwards: Not My Dog
  • Laura Lexx: Trying
  • Liam Withnail: Homeboy

They will perform ten minute segments from their shows in a final at  The Space @ Symposium Hall at 9.30pm on Saturday. There is no cash prize, but the kudos of following in the footsteps of previous winners including Tony Law, Marcel Lucont, Celia Pacquola and Richard Gadd
