Revealed: Who's in series 7 of Taskmaster

Line-up announced as Liza Tarbuck wins series 6

The players for the next series of Taskmaster have been revealed.

James Acaster, Jessica Knappett, Phil Wang, Kerry Godliman and Rhod Gilbert will be taking part in the seventh series.

The news was revealed as series six ended tonight, with Liza Tarbuck crowned champion.

Series 7 will be broadcast later this year, with free tickets to the recordings available now.

In September, series creator Alex Horne – who plays the sidekick to taskmaster Greg Davies  – will publish the tie-in book Taskmaster: 200 Extraordinary Tasks For Ordinary People.

The current series has averaged 840,000 viewers an episode for Dave, with more than half watching on catch-up.

Richard Watsham, director of commissioning at parent company UKTV, has previoisly said:  ‘I couldn’t be more proud of Taskmaster and Alex Horne’s brilliant creation. Once in a while a startlingly original bit of TV comes along that redefines an entire genre and I’m just pleased it’s on Dave.’

Chortle first reported Acaster's involvement back in February.
