The whole Kitson caboodle...

This week's best comedy on demand

This week's comedy on demand.

It's Always Right Now, Until It's Later.

You might have thought the chances of the fiercely protective Daniel Kitson putting one of his shows out into the ether was on a par with the chances of him appearing on Through The Keyhole with Keith Lemon...

But stand aghast, for the comic has now put out his show It's Always Right Now, Until It's Later out as a digital rental…and it's only taken him seven-and-a-half years to do so.

The show debuted at the Traverse Theatre at the 2010 Fringe, and this performance – conducted in the round – was filmed in Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre in 2010.

It's available to rent for £3, but you may have to be quick, as Kitson admits in his notes accompanying the release 'I'm not sure how long I'll leave this up for. I may well find it a bit odd and bob it down again in a few days.'

The first 103 seconds – all of it preamble – are below as a teaser - then you can watch the full video here.

Ed And Lauren Get On

Comics Ed Night and Lauren Pattison have a new Radio 1 podcast, part of the station's new comedy drive, to make more online content (which also goes out on air in the middle of the night).

The first episode was released this week… and was clearly taped in the week of the Chortle Award nominations, since Ed is annoyed he didn't get one, while Lauren did. Which nicely feeds into their theme of how people's lives aren't always as perfect as Instagram and Facebook feeds would have you believe...

Hoovering

It's another comedian-chats-to-comedian podcast, but the twist here is that foodie Jessica Fostekew rustles up a meal for her guests (or vice-versa), as they chat about food and what it means to them.

She's six episodes in and Suzi Ruffell, Aisling Bea and Debroah Frances-White are among those who have broken bread with her so far. Listen on iTunes

John Moloney

The deadpan purveyor of droll one-liners has assembled a line-up of comedians over 50 to film a sort of middle-aged Live At The Apollo at the Glasgow Comedy Festival later this month, in a bid to show TV commissioners they should't obsess about youth.

But before those Comedians At The King's shows on March 20 and 21, Moloney's recent full 20-minute set at the Hot Water comedy club in Liverpool has just gone online to showcase what he does:

Netflix foreign-language stand-up

If you want to go deep into the stand-up rabbithole, Netflix have this week released some international stand-up: Adel Karam from Lebanon; Malena Pichot from Argentina; and Natalia Valdebenito from Chile. Subtitles are available.
