What Is This? described as a 'deeply personal' show

Simon Amstell has announced his fifth stand-up tour of the UK.

What Is This? is described as ‘a deeply personal, funny exploration of beauty, intimacy, freedom, sex and love’.

A total of 35 dates have been announced for September, October and November next year.

The announcement ties in with the launch of his film, Carnage, about a utopian future in which no one eats meat products.  It will be released on iPlayer this spring, and Amstell has said: ‘I have written and directed a film about veganism. I’m sorry.’

Ticketmaster will start selling some tickets to the  What Is This? Tour from 10am next Tuesday, although not all dates will be on sale via Ticketmaster. Tickets will go on wider sale from next Thursday.

The full tour dates are here.
