All-star cast for Britcom Finding Your Feet

Filming nears completion

Filming has wrapped on the London shoot of new British comedy film Finding Your Feet.

The movie, described as a 'coming-of-(old)-age' comedy, stars Imelda Staunton as ‘Lady’ Sandra Abbott, who discovers that her husband of 40 years is having an affair with her best friend, she seeks refuge with her estranged, older sister Bif, played by Celia Imrie.

Sandra is reserved compared to her outspoken, serial dating, free-spirited sibling, but she reluctantly lets Bif drag her along to her community dance class, where she finds new romance.

The star-studded cast also includes Timothy Spall, Celia Imrie, Joanna Lumley  David Hayman,  John Sessions and Josie Lawrence.

Production now moves to Rome for its final week of shooting.

Director Richard Loncraine said: ‘The London portion of the shoot has been a great success, and I’m enjoying it every bit as much as I enjoyed the script - a script that made me laugh and cry, often at the same time.

‘I am genuinely thrilled to have taken this wonderful project from the page and on to the screen where it belongs.’

The screenplay is by Nick Moorcroft, who wrote the St Trinian’s reboots, and Meg Leonard, and the movie is set for release next year
