Horrible Histories up for an Emmy

A tight 5: October 19

HORRIBLE HISTORIES and Hank Zipzer have been nominated for international kids Emmy awards the factual and series categories respectively. Aardman's Shaun the Sheep: The Farmer's Llamas is shortlisted in the animation category. Winners will be announced in Cannes in April.

THE CROWDFUNDING appeal Caitlin Moran launched to bring back Raised By Wolves has raised more than £60,000 in its first day. Over 1,000 fans of the show contributed to the cause, which is seeking £320,000 to make another episode, with more to come if they raise enough cash. One person alone pledged £2,500.

CHANNEL 4 has decided not to make a full series out of its most recent Comedy Blaps, Outsiders. The shorts featured comedians Sofie Hagen, Mae Martin, Jamali Maddix, Pierre Novellie and Yasmin Akram as various nationalities sharing a flat. But writer Andrew Ellard has tweeted: 'Well, @Channel4 have passed on Outsiders. Gutted, obviously. But proud of everyone involved. We made a good thing.'

GUESTS have been announced for Chris Ramsey's Comedy Central stand-up show. Comedians and celebrities appearing over the series will be Jimmy Carr, Sara Pascoe, Joel Dommett, Nish Kumar, Ed Gamble, Iain Stirling, Rick Edwards and Joey Essex.

ACTRESS Amy Trigg won this year's Colchester New Comedian of the Year competition. She had never performed stand-up before taking part in the competition, which comes with a £100 prize.
