Panel show returns September 13

Harriet Kemsley and Finlay Christie will be making their Mock The Week debuts on the next series of the panel show.

The programme returns to TLC on Sunday September 13, after Parliament’s recess concludes, with Dara Ó Briain again in the chair and  Rhys James as series regular.

Returning comedians include Angela Barnes, Ahir Shah, Ed Byrne, Emmanuel Sonubi, Glenn Moore, Hugh Dennis, Janine Harouni, Laura Lexx, London Hughes, Maisie Adam, Russell Howard, Sara Pascoe, Sarah Keyworth, Scott Bennett and Zoe Lyons, with additional panellists still to be announced.

Ó Briain said the line-up was ‘a really good mix of very established faces and very new comedians,’ adding: ‘I'm very happy with that.

‘The thing that gives me the greatest joy is the fact that I never know what anybody is going to say on the day. There are entire rounds, like Scenes We’d Like To See, where I can just sit back and watch. It's playtime. I’m so delighted still to be presenting Mock the Week.’

Made by Angst Productions, this is the second series on free-to-air TLC, which also ran four summer specials in June.

Overnight audiences for series one averaged more than 600,000 viewers, rising to more than a million when including repeats across the week.
