New images released

New images have been released showing some of the stars cameoing in the Absolutely Fabulous movie.

•Joan Collins

The film's guest stars range from Jerry Hall to Christopher Biggins, Jeremy Paxman to Little Jimmy Krankie star Janette Tough.

• Stella McCartney and Jennifer Saunders

In the film, due out on July 1, Jennifer Saunders's Edina and Joanna Lumley's Patsy head to the French Riviera to flee the paparazzi after causing 'a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party'.

• Kate Moss

All of the cast of the TV series are returning including Julia Sawalha, Jane Horrocks, June Whitfield, Kathy Burke as Magda and Helen Lederer, while Emma Bunton and Lulu play themselves.

The film, which Saunders has been talking about since at least 2011, will be out in Australia on July 22 and in the States on August 11.

The film has been directed by veteran comedy-maker Mandie Fletcher and produced by Jon Plowman, who produced the original sitcom for the BBC, along with History Boys and The Iron Lady producer Damian Jones.

Producers Fox Searchlight previously released this teaser for the movie, with the full trailer expected later this week.
