For the Travel Channel

Paddy McGuinness is to present a new car-based show for The Travel Channel

In Drive Of My Life, the Take Me Out comic will drive celebrities to places that mean something to them, and talk about cars they have previously owned.

Ten half-hour episodes have been ordered to air in the autumn, broadcasting trade magazine Broadcast reports.

It is being made be production company Shiver, which is also behind Come Dine With Me and the Adrian Edmondson travelogue Ade In Britain.

Producer and director Ed Venner has previously worked on Chris Tarrent’s Extreme Rail Journeys, Ross Kemp Extreme World, Jo: Frost: Extreme Parenting and Xtreme Endurance.

The Travel Channel’s Kevin Dickie said: ‘Paddy has the perfect blend of comic, engaging storytelling and great sense of adventure.’
