Cardinal Burns are to launch their own comedy night. Seb Cardinal and Dustin Demri-Burns will host a new monthly night at Hackney's Moth Club from October 8. Cardinal said: 'It's going to be an impulsive night of new characters and new material from us with plenty of surprises and some top guests too. The line-up for the opening night includes Jamie Demetriou, Natasia Demetriou and Ellie White.

AMERICA's NBC network has dropped Mr. Robinson, a sitcom starring The Office's Craig Robinson as a music teacher and frontman for an aspiring funk band. A second series has not been commissioned following an initial run of six episodes.

THE manager of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Sarah Watson, has been promoted to director. The previous boss, and founder of The Stand comedy clubs, Tommy Sheppard, has stepped down after he was elected as SNP's MP for Edinburgh East in May. The festival returns from March 10 to 27, for its 14th year.
